Two words..Horse Shit.

intelligent reply 4:28, has to be a republican for sure. small response, small mind.

OK Six words..Horse shit on a silver platter.

Wonderful discussion here Shack. Beshear has a good plan.

Shack what do you think about Greg Stumbo not wanting this horse shit in Floyd County.

Who's that Chinese she male with Mitch? Take it down it's scary.

I don't know why you people bash Ms. McConnell. She looks o.k. But, Mitch, Lord help us. I don't know where his ovaries could be hidden. Did anyone see the homo look in Mitch's eyes when suck buddy Busch signed one of the fairytale bills yesterday. Mitch looked like he was ready to go down.

BILLY REED SAYS:

Then there’s the issue over whether to let the public vote on the legalization of casino gambling.

Another no-brainer. In every poll taken on the subject, the people have said, overwhelmingly, that they want to vote on the issue instead of leaving it up to their elected officials. So let them. Isn’t that the very essence of democracy?

The public is telling the legislators they don’t really care whether they’re for or against it. They’re telling them to get out of the way and let the public have its say. So what does any legislator possibly have to lose by voting to put a constitutional amendment on the November ballot?

I mean, do any of them really think they’re going to be kicked out of office because they voted to allow their constituents to have their say? Of course, not. It’s ludicrous, unless you can imagine Farmer Bob, from the Bible Belt, standing up to his State Senator and wagging his finger in his face as he says, “I’ve had it with you for letting me vote. How dare you do that. You are so irresponsible that I just can’t vote for you again.”

Let the debate begin not now, not in Frankfort, but once the issue is put on the ballot. Then the voters in every county will have a chance to see the two sides debate, head-to-head, on KET and at Rotary meetings and other venues, which is far superior to hearing them testify before a legislative committee.

I say what the hell? You are only talking about five buildings. Which cities do you think want the casinos? At least Steve has an upfront on the level plan, which by the way is not too favorable for the casinos. The big one is will the tax revenues end up in the general fund like the lottery? So much for education.

Richards knows Stumbo is after his hide so of course he is laying low. Watch out for a compromise between Stumbo and the Gov. Stumbo goes along with the Gov after a couple of tweeks and takes down Richards in the process. Now that is compromise!

Richards has cut a deal with Williams! Write it in your bible, it is fact. King David Williams is working ten times harder than Beshear in the senate. I hope Beshear is not listening to his people in the halls. He really must go and fight himself.

I would rather have Stumbo has speaker at least he has balls and balls is enough in the house.

Shack, You wrote, "If the amendment is passed with that exact wording, the General Assembly can not change the course of the revenue later."

Is that so ... Hmmm ... how about the very clever "wording" by Steve Beshear in his fraudulent marketing ploy that says, "increasing state financial support for
... and other important programs"

Can YOU or Steve Beshear please define what "other important programs" are? That is a wide open phrase with no definition as to WHAT "important programs" are. Important to whom?

Oh yes, Governor Beshear was very clever to include "other important programs."

Shack, I read where you agree with Stumbo that "Stumbo says the population is too poor for a casino. He is right, the population in Floyd is too poor to support a casino operation, I agree with him 100%."

Hey dude, what are you talking about?!?

Don't you remember Gov. Beshear keeps telling us that 1000's and 1000's of Kentuckians are going to other states to casinos .... MAN, don't you know ....

NOW ... all those 1000's and 1000's of Kentuckians will go to Floyd Co. Sheesh dude, don't you trust this Governor?

Shack, shack, shack, Steve Beshear has said all along that 1000's & 1000's of Kentuckians travel 60 plus miles to get to casinos in other states ... don't you have faith that "if you build it in Floyd Co., they will come?"

Gee whiz Shack, just think about if you build casinos in Floyd Co., 1000's of people will be employed to build the thing, 1000's will be employed to build hotels, shops, cafe's, restaurants for all those 1000's & 1000's of Kentuckians who would have driven miles & miles & miles across state line. Don't you want all those people to drop their MILLIONS in Floyd Co.

After all, I heard Beshear on tv last night say just that. He said, 1000's of jobs will be created to build the things.

Or, was Beshear BS'ing us all along with his stats on how many Kentuckians drive and drive and drive across state line to spend MILLIONS of dollars to pave the roads of Indiana?

It's 2 edged, you & Stumbo don't want it in YOUR back yard ... but you don't give a sheeeit about the other people's back yards, right Mr. Practicality DUDE.. Shack

God bless David Williams. He speaks the truth no matter what you stupid Democrats say about him.

I thank God every day for a number of things. Salvation through his son Jesus, good health, a loving family, food and shelter, a decent job, and the intelligence to not be a liberal Democrat are key among them.

Floyd was included because it has a race track and everybody knows the race tracks are being taken care of. One question I have not heard anyone ask is this. What happens when the race tracks get their license and start up a full fledged casino? Run the race track for a short time along with casinos and then sell the track to a Las Vegas casino company. Who will take care of the workers, the farmers and all of the other people working for a living? The Horse owners are already millionaires and the owners of the tracks could care less about the workers they employ. If you don’t believe it ask the retired jockeys and groomsmen who are too broken down to walk. Ask them who is paying for their health insurance. Ask what standard of life they now have since they quit making money for the horse tracks everybody is so worried about.

Call this what you want, call it the savior of our state, call it the savior of the horse industry but add to it the fact that is pay back for a political campaign and to take care of the governors friends in the industry. It is most definitely not to help the state or its citizens.

Jesus and David Williams have a lot more in common than most Democrats and Jesus do. Because Jesus wouldn't be in favor of abortions and most Democrats are.

ChecK out the Headline for this post:

Governor Beshear Introduces Historical Amendment Proposal

HISTORICAL . . . WHAT IS HISTORICAL ABOUT THIS---- THAT IS POSITIVE?

UPDATE 10:00PM: Senate President David Williams (R) sounds more like a gangster than a elected official. Williams spews the most embarrassing rant in recent memory in regards to Beshear's casino legislation.

It has to be really embarrassing for our state senators to have to serve with a bully like Williams. Hopefully the senate stands up to the bully.

Beshear does not care about the children of this state. Neither do half the low-life legislators, including but not limited to, Stumbo - who wants casinos in everyone's backyard but his own.

If these f@ckers really cared about kids they would educate the voters who will be voting on this Amendment as to the REAL adverse affects casinos have on CHILDREN when these casino money hungry bastard$ come to town.

If they cared about our children they would not be so damned eager to support bringing casinos to this state.

Look at what casinos do for the CHILDREN of Nevada.

1. Nevada has one of the HIGHEST drop out rate of any state in the country.
* Nevada ranks 49th in high school completion.

2. Nevada ranks dead LAST for the number of students who go directly to college after graduation, according to National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education.
"Nevada has one of the lowest graduation rates in 9th through 12th grades, and one of the lowest college-going rates in the country as well as one of the lowest college graduation rates," said Patrick Kelly of the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems."

3. 2007 Nevada Kids Count Data Book, produced by the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
a. cites an increase in the number of students living in poverty.

b. One in five people moving to Las Vegas for low-skill service jobs have a sixth-grade education or lower, the report states.

c. It (Nev. Kids Count Data Book) also blames the gaming industry, for creating disincentives for some students to remain in school.

4. In 2006, Nevada ranked 7th highest in the nation for the percentage of UNINSURED.

5. In 2003, Nevada had the 3rd highest percentage of uninsured children in the nation who did not receive needed care.

6. The percentage of uninsured children in Nevada has been higher than the national average every year since 1990.

Nevada ranks ....
* 47th in teenage drug abuse.

* Nevada ranked 46th in homicides,

* 44th in teenage suicide.

* Nevada ranked 43rd in child abuse.

Steve Beshear and these legislators are WORSE than two-faced. They are disingenuous and insincere.

They want to protect our children from parents too dumb to put their kids in car seats. They want to force children to go to the dentist. Great, admirable? Maybe ... disingenuous, insincere and two-faced YOU BET!!!

If these charlatans really care about our children they would allow people to vote on casinos BUT ... BUT ... BUT ... they would educate the voters as to the adverse cost to the children of this state BEFORE they hoodwink the voters into thinking casinos are the cure-all for anything.

Shack,

I get it now ... Candidate for Governor Steve Beshear DID have 2 plans for Kentucky

Plan A: Cut education 15%, Cut $43 Million from K-12 programs, Cut K-12 SEEK money, Cut Medicaid, Cut $59 Million for the elderly and mentally ill. INCREASE SPENDING by $443,699,000.00 in New General Fund Projects totaling INCREASE SPENDING BY $165,932,000.00 to restore projects that were vetoed in 2006
... and ... INCREASE SPENDING by using the taxpayer money as his campaign piggy bank to buy votes for Scott Alexander * $15,000.00 - federal homeland security grant at the Harlan County Courthouse

AND

* $2.6Million - 1/30/08 - Beshear doled out economic development money in Middlesboro to help lay the groundwork for a $2.6 million Southeast Telephone Co. operations center.

Plan B: Casino's at the high cost of increased crime and other social nightmares that will cost BILLIONS.

Yeah, your old boy sure has a financial head on his shoulders.

BTW: Governor when will you pay back the taxpayer for the use of the state plane whilst you campaigned in Paducah? Is our tax money his piggy bank?

David William's law office address in Burkesville is 666 . Strange?

LOL...as-we-speak, the House Democrats are thrashin' and shreddin' the grand Historical proposals. Making mincemeat out of the constitutional amendment and revenue pay out percentages. No need worrying about the Senate /Williams, the dog fight in the House will make or break Beshears' casino "legacy". Lottery's legacy(revenue) redux.

Can some one tell JAS and his multiple personalities to get off NEVADA. Shift the blame from the truth. KENTUCKY HAS FAILED FOR TWO HUNDRED YEARS with and without Casinos. I want my Casino on the Kentucky River between Frankfort and Beattyville. NEVADA BEATS KENTUCKY HANDS DOWN IN HIGHER EDUCATION OBTAINED BY POPULATION (Percentage of Population Over The Age of 25 Years). Kentucky has the Highest High School Drop Out Rate In The Nation, only the City Of Detroit comes in ahead of Kentucky, both in total numbers and percentages. This did not happen until GM folded and Michigan and Detroit raised taxes during a recession. But according to JAS and his voices I am a Liar, Fraud and Gangster. You bet, I have more skin ink than the Kentucky Wildcats Basketball team and I carry a concealed Gold Plated 45 Cal so that I can do a drive by at the House of the Lord.

The following post carries my name as the poster of this, but those are not my words.
They have been altered to make it appear that I oppose the logic Senator David Williams AND, am referring to those that oppose this issue, as gangsters and such.

That is just not true. There does exist, a proven history, of gangsters and crime and gambling but it does not indicate or infer, that anyone that supports this issue is A GANGSTER.

I did post something that referred to the Gangster element, but most of my post on this blog have been about the tremendous social cost of CASINO GAMBLING.

LIFT FROM A PREVIOUS POST.

JAS . . . .
This is apparently a rebuttal phrase. And it is not accurate.

If Casinos come to Kentucky, five years from now, 60,000 Kentucky citizens will become compulsive gamblers.

Suicide among children that come from Compulsive Gambling families have two time the suicide rate of the children that are not impacted.

8:14 pm. Very interesting observation, thank you.

JAS in Frnakfort,

Dr. Rick you are a liar and a fraud. You must be related to that Kelsey dude who lies on Polwatchers. You, like Kelsey, make up BS to spread. You clearly lie, because you never have any facts to back up your BS.
