It "appears", and it is close, that the Democratic Party will hold on to the majority in the Kentucky State House. So far the GOP is winning, or up, in 7 House Races, they need a NET gain of 9 to take control. 2 or 3 races are extremely close and we also have a couple that have not reported.
It is TOO CLOSE TO CALL but it appears the Democratic Majority will survive. It also appears that the Independent Candidate Jason Petrie will defeat the Democratic incumbent Martha King, but it is also TOO CLOSE TO CALL. If Petrie pulls out the victory that will put the Democrats, so far, down 8; 7 to the GOP and 1 to the Independents.
