Well, Jack Conway is taking on the Koch Brothers and crying like a spanked ape in a forest fire because Americans for Prosperity just hired a Director for Kentucky. That is an ominous sign for what may happen as we get closer to November as the Koch Brothers may drop $10 million in the Fall to reinforce McConnell's chances.
Conway decried the possible Conservative infiltration of our glorious Commonwealth:
“I don’t think we ought to let in Kentucky state politics happen what’s happened at the federal level," said Conway. " Because people raise money for Senate campaign or House campaigns, and all of a sudden the corporate interests come in in the end and outspend what the individuals raised, and they treat the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives like it’s members are just nothing more than pawns in a larger corporate game.” SOURCE: WKU Public Radio
Well, 501(c)(4) political organizations are now legal and unless SCOTUS reverses themselves, yea right, then you might as well get used to it. I personally think its a terrible consequence of the influence of money in political campaigns. The money hasn't slowed down and the true legacy of Senator McConnell's real work in the U.S. Senate is now becoming evident. He was known as the Darth Vader of Campaign Finance Reform long before he was known as Minority Leader.
Good luck to Jack-PAC but I don't see much success in their future.
