It's that time of the year again folks, NBA Draft season.
We will provide a quick, and HONEST, rundown on this year's NBA prospects and their likely draft position.
Karl Anthony Towns - LOCK 1st Round
Fo'get-about-it, he's gone, or at least he should be. Towns should put on his NBA hat on the big stage as the 1st through 3rd position.
Willie Cauley Stein - LOCK 1st Round
Yet again, WCS should be out the door. I am not a WCS band wagonere. I hate to admit it but I agree with Chris Webber's analysis of WCS's game. His offense is almost non existent and STOP IT with the Deandre Jordan comparisons. Maybe 3 or 4 years down the road but not now.
NBADraft.net - 11th Pick
DraftExpress - 6th Pick
MyNBADraft - 6th Pick
Devin Booker - LOCK 1st Round
Possibly the most upside here, especially if he kills it during workouts. Booker's lack of defense doesn't matter in the least. His quick dead-eye shot is the key. Booker is a lock for the first round and I would expect his draft stock to rise before draft day.
Prediction: There is a 50/50 shot he returns simply because of Tyler Ulis. If he returns, he is a lock lottery pick in 2016.
NBADraft.net - 16th Pick
DraftExpress - 17th Pick
MyNBADraft - 16th Pick
Trey Lyles - LOCK 1st Round
He is gone, so just accept it unless he likes the college experience enough to turn down lottery pick money. I would not be surprised if Lyles goes higher than WCS in this year's draft. His mock status is all over the place but I would tend to speculate he resides higher on the big board.
NBADraft.net - 7th Pick
DraftExpress - 19th Pick
MyNBADraft - 23rd Pick
Harrison Twins - Possibly Undrafted
Prediction: GONE or TRANSFER
They both should forget about the draft and return to school. I would not be surprised if both go undrafted or transfer to Texas.
Dakari Johnson - Likely 40th to 55th pick 2nd Round
This is a tough one as NBA teams love 7 footers, they will nab them as quick as they pop up but Dakari Johnson has a lot of work to do. Johnson in reality is the only Cat who dropped a little among NBA types this year. Considering he was the bookend with WCS and KAT it's understandable. He will go in the 2nd round and likely make a team because he is 7 foot.
NBADraft.net - Undrafted in 1st and 2nd rounds
DraftExpress - 39th Pick (2nd round)
MyNBADraft - Undrafted or 2nd round
