OK, let me get this out of the way before I start. I do not in any way look at the Tea Party as a true grassroots political movement. I think it is the biggest political con-job of the 21st century. Ron Paul has built himself up to be a folk hero, a GOP Congressman, perennial Presidential Candidate with a Libertarian philosophy. Underneath that Libertarian idealism lies a monster infested with white supremacy ideals. Yes, it is no big secret that Ron Paul was tied directly to the KKK and other white patriot organizations in the 1970's and 1980's. His son is a cut right off the old block.
So the Tea Party was a movement of opportunity who declared war on the GOP establishment. They had some early success, sold out, faltered a bit, and now it appears this so-called movement may have a big year in 2014. It is also no secret that these so-called Tea Party politicians are a farce, fake as Christmas, and shallow as a summer pond on your uncles farm. Now with the rise of other Tea Party faves on the national stage you have the Godfather of the movement, Ron Paul, in the pocket of the same GOP monster they claim to hate, Mitch McConnell.
I am observing some very uncharacteristic mistakes in McConnell's campaign, mistakes he has never made in the past. He is spending huge amounts of cash attacking an opponent he is 40% ahead of and it appears his "team" really isn't his "team", they are there because of a deal, a deal between Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell. Sure, if Rand Paul runs for the presidency he will need huge amounts of cash and McConnell can raise that cash but I would also suspect that Rand Paul's position would be more secure with McConnell being retired. It makes more sense to retire McConnell than to reelect him so he can't cut your throat in late April of 2016 during a GOP primary. Because if McConnell gets back to his catbird seat within the old GOP establishment he will cut Paul's throat, no doubt about it.
The old saying goes "Politics make strange bedfellows" and it is a very true statement. Stone cold enemies will form an alliance for a common cause. And this may actually be the ultimate sellout job by the Paul family Tea Party dynasty. I truly believe, at this time and time will tell, that the Paul family is setting McConnell up for the fall. Slowly weakening his position for an ultimate General Election defeat in 2014. We will be studying McConnell's past GOP primary expenditures compared with 2013-14 primary expenditures and I will predict the numbers will be overwhelming different, maybe. McConnell is on track to spend a huge amount of money on an opponent he is likely to defeat by 10 percentage points, no matter what happens. So watch out folks the ultimate fix may be in and if it is it would be the biggest political fix in American history, or one of. And remeber, in politics, lies and liars are as common as fireflies during a Kentucky Summer. Deals and promises? Gimme-a-break...
