I have been forced to institute a new comment policy for The Rural Democrat because I do not have the time to filter every single comment made here. You can thank a few for forcing me into this. The personal attacks have gone too far. I can not control what happens outside of this blog and I will not allow me or any participant to be attacked personally. We are private individuals who writes a weblog, we are not candidates or elected officials. The libel/slander threads written about me lately has forced me to defend my reputation and integrity.
We do not sell advertising and we do not make dime one off this weblog. This gives us the opportunity to be private individuals, not a professional medium for the news.
If people can not find away to be righteous to each other......,
then I will just make it tougher. It is amazing that I now know how Mark Nickolas felt when he instituted this same comment policy and I blasted him for it. For now on, folks who wish to leave a comment will be required to have a Typepad, formally a TypeKey account.
UPDATE: I have not censored anyone who didn't deserve it. If you leave a righteous comment, it will stay. If you get personal and call people names, you will be banned. If you want to do that go to your local Topix forum. I have removed certain individuals time and time again from the banned list. Now if you are banned, you are banned forever. I am done talking on this subject on the advice of my attorney. The situation is causing me stress and anxiety and that is unhealthy, this is not a game too me. The people who wish to continue with the libel/slander, will deal with my lawyer. Deep breath, blow it out, count to ten and goodbye.
