McCain Says Something Stupid
It is general election stupidity in May. I have told both family and friends that Senator John McCain (R) will lose to Obama because of his stubbornness and or his mouth.

I was thinking more like 5 months not 5 years.
Sounds like a timetable to me by God. A lousy one at that. He's not just old but a fortune teller to boot.

2013? We are losing 1,000 troops a year, so he expects us to lose 5,000 more deceased U.S. troops before the war's end? Tha's better than the 100,000 I was expecting, from his statement that he'd be happy to have U.S. troops in Iraq for the next hundred years. Kenneth Stepp, a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, KY.

This has to be the most dismal presidential offering of my lifetime, and I am in my 50's. I'm also a history buff, and in times of great peril I don't know if we've ever been in a bigger mess with such a combined dearth of talent, when you consider the two candidates and what passes for those in Congress. We are in deep shit. Obama is shallow, carried by great oratorial skills. McCain is a pragmatic type candidate. He has character as demonstrated by his POW experience when he could have walked out any time he wanted to but wouldn't. I damn sure would have. I don't like roaches and broken bones. But for any legitimate reasons for being in Iraq, assuming there are any, the fact is we are long since flat broke. Nine trillion bucks worth of broke. If it's such a serious matter to Western Civilization, let's get some Germans or French over there, but I don't see that, so it must be bullshit. We have to get out. So here you have the gun snatching Obama, on the one hand, vs. McCain. WTF? I'm serious, this is pathetic. What a mess we are in.
