Governor Steve Beshear's Ethics Reform Bill Passes House Without Opposition
As promised, Governor Steve Beshear (D) has pushed through the House a comprehensive ethics reform bill. HB 250 passed without opposition in the House today 94-0.
Also this bill will provide more robust whistle-blower protection, an increased amount in regards to personal gifts to public servants, state employees will not be able to seek employment from individuals that they were directly involved with on the job and expanded jurisdiction for the Executive Branch ethics code that will cover all boards with salaried members and regulatory panels.
