The void in the blogsphere will be apparent.
Mark Nickolas of the Bluegrass Report has announced his intention to relocate outside the Commonwealth and apparently he is taking his blog with him. I can not say that my first encounter with Nickolas was a pleasant one. He was the inspiration for the Rural Democrat, not because of his dominance of the Kentucky blogsphere, because I felt Conservative Democrats had no voice and would never have a voice on the Bluegrass Report.
We have experienced a moderate level of success and I judge success by achieving a few hundred page views a day NOT a few thousand. Our small amateur attempt to share our views on the political process in Kentucky is a dedication only to share OUR views.
I think BGR went beyond simply sharing a point of view, I think it shook most of our Internet cruising political junkies to their knees. It had an effect on me that was pure anger and shock. I am not everyone and I am not everybody. BGR was molded and built with ultimate success in mind and for that Nickolas should be commended. I think it was success and I think it will continue to be a success after its future evolution into a National feed.

Good ridence to TRASH! Nickolas is leaving town bec. there are some state & federal indictments about to loom over him and he is trying to dodge the bullet. I feel sorry for the next state that he lands in.

I am not a sock puppet, but I did forget to say something...
Mr. Indicted Mark Nickolas, YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CANNOT HIDE FROM YOU LOOMING STATE & FEDERAL INDICTMENTS!
Can't wait till you are GONE from this Commonwealth!
PS. Sorry Hayes, but since I have been censored, I mean banned, from that slander-king's blog I had to send him my fairwell message somehow.

Hayes, Gosh it looks like Mark Nickolas is still deleting comments on his blog. I wrote him a thank God farewell post and he deleted it. I hope you don't mind me posting it here since I would so much like for his friends to read my sincere farewell remarks to the gross Mark Nickolas.
Mark,
You don't need to have a "heavy heart" only 2 or 3 people are sad to see you & Chantel leave this state. You & Chantel together are being sued by many, many, for failure to pay your debts. Chantel has outstanding debts from printers who have had to sue her. You have been sued by car rental companies, horse stud farms, and others. Are you planning on paying those outstanding debts or are you & Chantel going to get your "fresh start" (at age 41) owing those people.
Then of course there is the State Revenue that is going to bill you for your unpaid taxes including penalties & interest. Do you think they will let you go off without paying? Naturally the federal government will find you.
I have had great pleasure in participating in being one of many who reported your scummy ass to both the state & federal government. Yes, I took great pleasure in turning your tax evading, corporate tax fraud ass to the government. I believe you, Rich Miles, Sam Wise, JAS, and other dared me to. I did. It was fun.
I also know the real reasons you are skipping town is bec. you know there are both state & federal indictments about to loom down on you. Plus because you were the person that stole the KDP email database and sent out the email impersonating Jerry Lundergan, you know that you are about to be busted on that. Guess what genius, Montana can send you back for prosecution. HA HA HA.
You have slandered far too many people in this state. Your evil malicious, made up lies about people show you just may be a sociopath, probably a narcissistic sociopath. In your piece here you talk so sweet to John David yet you trashed his brother and slandered his brother at any sicko whim you had.
You are a sick, mentally sick person. I am so glad to see you go! I am glad to see you scummy girl friend go! GOOD RIDDANCE TO TRASH!
By the way, you can run Mark Nickolas but you cannot hide from your state & federal indictments that are about to rain down on your disgusting head.
Good bye you disgusting creatures! GOOD BYE!!! GO!!! GET OUT OF HERE!!!

Mark Nickolas is moving out of state for good next week according to his friends at the Herald Leader.
Wow, so the guy is 41, owns horses and a horse farm, is packing up and moving a week after the State Revenue Cabinet spokesperson, Jill Midkiff, told the press that Nickolas would be getting a bill for the non profit money he used as person expenses. Nickolas never claimed that money as personal expenses on his tax return so now he owes the state tax man money. OK.
He also owes money to a bunch of lawyers in this state including Jennifer Moore.
He also owes money to Buck Pond Farms. Remember Mr. Arnold of Buck Pond? He had to sue Nickolas for the debt Nickolas owed and Nickolas agreed to a settlement out of court.
Nickolas has all that, here in Kentucky, the farm isn't sold, and he still is leaving in less than a week?
Ah HUH! Yup, you can bet that man is running from somebody, and somebody BIG!

Hayes,
As much as you hate that SOB you are one classy guy. Though I wish you would have kicked him in the balls one last time!

ROFL...I knew it, he's about to flop on over to another little, little pond.

Well, I, too, was among the several thousand banned. Therefore as the others have done, I shall have to post my good-bye kiss here. You reap what you sew. You spewed vitriol from your little pulpit in every direction, and you know what happened? Those on the receiving end of your rants decided they didn't like them. You see, Mark, there's a proverb that says that when you live in a glass house you shouldn't throw stones. So just because I'm a nice guy, I'm going to give you some advice, because you seem like a slow learner. When you get to Montana, don't threaten the Governor or the Supreme Court justice, OK? You've really been lucky here. It isn't like Kentuckians to put up with your kind of crap from someone from California, or wherever it is you hail from. We've been nice, considering.

Bulletbob:
If you felt the need would you challenge a decision made by a public official?
I mean would you get the facts and speak up and keep speaking up until someone heard you?
Posted by: | May 25, 2007 at 02:57 PM
2:57--
I sure would. I wouldn't slander them in the process, though, just because they were a public official and "had to" take it. I wouldn't call the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court every outlandish thing under the sun, even if I thought it was true, because it wouldn't be prudent. It also wouldn't get me anywhere. I also wouldn't do a lot of the stuff he pulled if I knew I could be indicted for crimes myself while I was doing it. And let me say this. There were times when his "facts," weren't.
Posted by: Bulletbob | May 25, 2007 at 03:36 PM
One final thought regarding "prudence." It's always a good idea to treat your opponent with respect. He treated his with unvarnished disdain, and--I think--that is why he was, and maybe still is, going to face legal action after legal action. So sure, you can "speak up and keep speaking up until someone hears you." But if one isn't civil in one's discourse, after one is finally heard to one's satisfaction a whirlwind might well be reaped. I would think the best thing to do is to motivate others with an argument as to a course of action you think optimal and let them take action in that ballot box or through their conversations with their fellows. Slings and arrows directed at people who are well versed in their use will be returned, whether in same form or not.

2:57 - I agree with Bulletbob. Naturally you speak out. It is prudent to be an advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves. It is prudent to be an advocate for many. However, and as Bulletbob said, you can be an advocate, you can hold people accountable without making up lies. Mark Nickolas made up lies about Justice Lambert, Justice Johnstone, Justice McAnulty and a host of others.
Mark Nickolas was not trying to be anyone's advocate. Mark Nickolas just tried to destroy lives of good men, like the ones mentioned above, for no reason. He never even met those men and he slandered them. Nickolas didn't need a reason to slander, he enjoyed it too much.
Nickolas is disgusting and he can run but he can't hide.
Posted by: | May 26, 2007 at 01:24 AM
As long as Nickolas pays his tax bill to this State I could care less if Nickolas stays or goes. He is so meaningless, his ideas are meaningless and his hate-speech is obvious.
