.17 HMR Varmint Rifles: Which is best?

Now I have to admit that I do not own this weapon but I am making it a point that it be my next firearm purchase. I have witnessed the aftermath and the devastation of this little round and I have to tell you it is very impressive.

Varmints, varmint rifles or varmint round is gun slang for a good rifle to kill a small animal, like a groundhog, prairie dog or whatever. I have always been a fan of the 22-250 and it will take a mountain of a gun to turn my head. But this little .17 caliber HMR is that gun. Look at this little sucker.

Glock 27, We Love This Gun

I carry this weapon and I have owned dozens of handguns but this is by far my favorite. The only draw back to this weapon is the fact that it is loud as hell, a .44 caliber I owned was quieter, no crap. I can combat shoot a 6 inch group at 50 yards with the Glock 27.

It is light, 27 ounces fully loaded. You can buy a Glock 23, also a .40 caliber, clip and buy an accessory extension to add another finger groove to the grip, giving you a 13 round capacity compact weapon. It retails for about $450 to $500.
